Professor of Islamic Studies and Ethics at the University of Port Harcourt, Abdul Razaq Kilani is set to present the university’s 173rd Inaugural Lecture. This was contained in the promotional flier for the lecture shared online. The lecture holds on Thursday 16 September, 2021
The lecture titled “The Dialogue for Monotheism and the Struggle to Surrender” will hold at the Ebitimi Banigo Hall Auditorium on the university campus and as well be streamed online (Google Meet and Zoom). The inaugural speech will be chaired by the UNIPORT Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari A Georgewell.
Kilani holds a BA and MA in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Ilorin while his PhD was done at the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Port Harcourt where he currently teaches. He is a Study of the US Institute (SUSI) Scholar. He also doubles as the Chief Imam of the university.
