Abito Citta has partnered with the Nigeria Health Watch to train journalists in Osun State on Solutions Journalism. The virtual training is scheduled to hold on 15 September, 2021. This was disclosed by the Co-Founder of the organization, Mutiu Iyanda, while interacting with journalists in Lagos yesterday.
Mutiu said that the essence of the training is to ensure that the concept of solutions-focused reporting is spread to the journalists in the state. He noted that Mr. Chibuike Alagbaso and Bashar Abubakar are to facilitate the training. The duo are experienced health journalists with the Nigerian Health Watch. He noted this partnership is in line with AbitoCitta’s mandate of not only practising solutions journalism, but also helping to spread the gospel of the concept.
The training has as its target members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ, Osun State Chapter) and the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPA, Osun State).
