Making graduates employable and reducing structural unemployment rate in Nigeria and other countries in Africa is our collective responsibility. From the classroom, students need to get it right before they become graduates. They need to understand why a particular course is being delivered to them. They need to know why the course is imperative for them personally and how the course will benefit every member of the society. These and other elements or constructs of understanding course objectives need to be explored using opportunity exposure lens. Opportunity exposure lens is a tool that teachers or tutors of courses in each programme of study need to have. OEL means teachers or tutors’ explication of what the students can use each course for in the real life.
