Assistant Professor of Literary and Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam, Shola Adenekan is set to present the a talk on African Literature in the Digital Age. This was contained in the promotional flier for the lecture shared online. The lecture which holds on Tuesday 28 September, 2021 is titled Digital Indaba: African Literature in the Digital Age and will hold on a zoom conference call by 11am US Central Time (5pm WAT). The literary and digital webinar will also feature Grace A. Musila, an Associate Professor in the Department of African Literature at Wits University, Johannesburg. The webinar is one of the series of events organized by James Yeku-led African Digital Humanities at the University of Kansas, in the US.
Adenekan who is the author of the book, African Literature in the Digital Age is a recipient of a Starting Grant from the European Research Council. He has a PhD in Literature from the University of Birmingham, UK. He has worked as a journalist at various organizations like BBC, The Guardian (UK) and he is currently the publisher and editor of The New Black Magazine.
Grace A. Musila is also the author of a book titled “A Death Retold in Truth and Rumour: Kenya, Britain and the Julie Ward Murder”. She also coedited Rethinking Eastern African Intellectual Landscapes.
