The Congress Professionals (TCP) is set to host two university teachers to speak at its monthly forum. According to information garnered from the promotional flier seen on the internet, the forum which is a group of Muslim professionals across different disciplines, will play host to Dr. Tajudeen Yusuf and Mr. Habeeb Kabeer Akinlabi. The two scholars will be engaging different issues of current affairs as it affects the members of the group and the generality of Muslims.
Yusuf, an Associate Professor at the University of Lagos, is a specialist in Risk Management and Insurance. He will be speaking on Islamic Perspectives on Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. The widely travelled speaker is an Associate member of the famous Chartered Insurance Institute of London and the Chairman of the Board and President of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (IIFP). He is a member of the Governing Council of the College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM), he is the Chief Examiner of the West African College of Insurance.
Akinlabi, who is currently on the executive team of Islamicate Digital Humanities Network (IDHN), and recently reported on this platform will be speaking on Science, Humanity and the Quran: Whither the Muslim Professionals? Akinlabi is an Assistant Lecturer at the General Studies Unit, Fountain University, Osogbo.
The forum, which holds on monthly basis, will be anchored by Kamoru Salaudeen who doubles as the current Coordinator of the Department of Mass Communication, Fountain University, Osogbo.
